I use natural and raw materials, bringing them together in "encaustic" painting. A technique that is thousands of years old. My favorite surfaces to work on are handmade paper, driftwood and other natural materials that are then sealed in encaustic methods that involve beeswax. Natural paints such as oil, watercolor and ink are what adheres to the wax, so these are the paints I use. I also use ink and charcoal in drawing and use gouche to enhance these works of art that are also mixed with encaustic methods.
