Silent Auction
June 13 - 15, 2018 during Summerfest open hours, closing at 6pm on June 15
Details
- Registration is Friday, June 7, 5 – 8pm, and Saturday, June 8, 8 – 10am. If you cannot make one of these times, you may stop in at the Summerfest office, 69 E. 100 N., on Monday morning, June 10.
- Photos must be taken between June 8 and June 12 anywhere in Cache County, Utah, and the sections of Cache Valley that are in Franklin and Bannock Counties in Idaho, up to Red Rock Pass. Maps may be obtained from the Summerfest office, 69 E. 100 N. in Logan, at registration, or online at http://www.logansummerfest.com/get-involved/summerfest-contests .
- All art must adhere to Summerfest’s family-friendly guidelines. Summerfest is a family-oriented event. Nude, erotic, graphic and/or violent images
will not be considered for this event. Images depicting smoking and drinking are also not acceptable due to our venue, which is a religious
site. If a piece is deemed by the staff to violate any of these guidelines, it will not be displayed.
- Please keep in mind that local printers may be very busy printing the work of photographers entering the contest. Plan accordingly.
- EXIF data is required. Original photos (including EXIF data) must be emailed to contests@logansummerfest.com by noon on Wednesday, June 12 so that date and time of photo can be verified.
- Submit framed photos, ready for hanging (we prefer a wire to alligator hangers), Wednesday, June 12 from 10am to noon at the Plein Air and Silent Auction tent at the center of the festival grounds, behind the Tabernacle at 50 N Main, Logan.
- Each photographer may enter only one photo. Categories are landscape, still life, portrait, action, wildlife, and abstract/digital art.
- All entries will be juried on Wednesday, June 12, and displayed at Summerfest, June 13-15, in the Plein Air Silent Auction tent on the Tabernacle grounds, 50 N. Main in Logan, UT.
- Artists may choose to sell their work in the silent auction, which runs from 11am, June 13 to 6pm, June 15, 2018.
- You must set the minimum bid amount for your pieces. If your work is sold at Summerfest, it is subject to a 25% gallery fee and Utah sales tax. The fee will be subtracted from the auction bid, and the tax will be added to it at the time of sale. Please take this into consideration when pricing your work for sale.
-
Unsold artwork must be picked up Saturday, June 15 between 6:30pm and 8:30pm (AND NOT BEFORE THEN) or at the Summerfest office throughout June. Special arrangements can be made by calling the office at 435.213.3858.
