Silent Auction

June 13-15, 2018 during Summerfest open hours, closing at 6pm on June 15

  • Registration is Friday, June 7, 5-8pm, and Saturday, June 8, 8-10am. If you cannot make one of these times, you may stop in at the Summerfest office, 69 E. 100 N., on Monday morning, June 10.
  • Paintings must be created in Cache County, Utah, and the sections of Cache Valley that are in Franklin and Bannock Counties in Idaho, up to Red Rock Pass. Maps may be obtained from the Summerfest office, 69 E. 100 N. in Logan, at registration, or online at Paintings must be created and completed on stamped canvasses/paper/board/etc. This guarantees that you created the work on the dates required, i.e., between June 9 and June 12.
  • All art must adhere to Summerfest’s family-friendly guidelines. Summerfest is a family-oriented event. Nude, erotic, graphic and/or violent images will not be considered for this event. Images depicting smoking and drinking are also not acceptable due to our venue, which is a religious site. If a piece is deemed by the staff to violate any of these guidelines, it will not be displayed.
  • Each artist can enter up to two paintings, but can get more canvases stamped, so if they sell a painting or mess one up, they can replace it with another stamped piece.
  • Submit framed paintings, ready for hanging (we require a wire–not alligator hanger), Wednesday, June 12, from 10am to noon at the Plein Air and Silent Auction tent at the center of the festival grounds, just northeast of the Tabernacle building at 50 E 100 N, Logan. All paintings must be framed or have finished edges (no tape). Finished edges generally are either painted black or painted as extensions of the painting on the front of the canvas. Paintings may be rejected if they are not finished in a professional manner.
  • All entries will be juried on Wednesday, June 12, and displayed at Summerfest, June 13-15, 2018, in the Plein Air Silent Auction tent on the Tabernacle grounds, 50 N. Main in Logan, UT.
  • Artists may choose to sell their work in the silent auction, which runs from 11am, June 13 to 6pm, June 15, 2018.
  • You must set the minimum bid amount for your pieces. If your work is sold at Summerfest, it is subject to a 25% gallery fee and Utah sales tax. The fee will be subtracted from the auction bid, and the tax will be added to it at the time of sale. Please take this into consideration when pricing your work for sale.
  • Unsold artwork must be picked up Saturday, June 15, between 6:30pm and 8:30pm (AND NOT BEFORE THEN) or at the Summerfest office through June. Special arrangements can be made by calling the office at 435.213.3858. Artwork not picked up within 30 days of the event becomes the property of Summerfest Arts Faire and may be sold to help fund Summerfest operations.
