Details
Registration is Friday, June 11, 5 – 8pm, and Saturday, June 12, 8 – 10am. If you cannot make one of these times, you may stop in at the Summerfest office,
69 E. 100 N., on Monday morning, June 14.
Paintings must be created in Cache County, Utah, and the sections of Cache Valley that are in Franklin and Bannock Counties in Idaho, up to Red Rock Pass.
Maps may be obtained from the Summerfest office, 69 E. 100 N. in Logan, at registration, or online at http://www.logansummerfest.com/get-involved/summerfest-contests.
Paintings must be created and completed on stamped canvasses/paper/board/etc. This guarantees that you created the work on the dates required, i.e.,
between June 11 and June 16.
All art must adhere to Summerfest’s family-friendly guidelines. Summerfest is a family-oriented event. Nude, erotic, occult, graphic and/or violent images
will not be considered for this event. Images depicting smoking and drinking are also not acceptable due to our venue, which is a religious site. If
a piece is deemed by the staff to violate any of these guidelines, it will not be displayed.
Each artist can enter up to two paintings, but can get more canvases stamped, so if they sell a painting or mess one up, they can replace it with
another stamped piece.
Submit framed paintings, ready for hanging (we require a wire--not alligator hangers), Wednesday, June 16, from 10am to noon at the Plein Air and
Silent Auction tent/gallery at the festival. All paintings must be framed or have finished edges (no tape). Finished edges generally are either painted
black or painted as extensions of the painting on the front of the canvas. Paintings may be rejected if they are not finished in a professional manner.
All entries will be juried on Wednesday, June 16, and displayed at Summerfest, June 17-19, 2021. Prizes will be awarded at the opening reception on Wednesday
evening.
Artists may choose to sell their work in the silent auction, which runs from 11am, June 17 to 5pm, June 19, 2021.
You must set the minimum bid amount for your pieces. If your work is sold at Summerfest, it is subject to a 25% gallery fee and Utah sales tax. The tax
will be added at the time of sale. A check for 75% of the paid price will be sent to the artist after the buyer has paid. Please take this into consideration
when pricing your work for sale.
Unsold artwork must be picked up Saturday, June 19, between 5pm and 8pm (AND NOT BEFORE THEN) or at the Summerfest office throughout June. Special arrangements
can be made by calling the office at 435.213.3858. Artwork not picked up within 30 days of the event becomes the property of Summerfest Arts Faire
and may be sold to help fund Summerfest operations.
